Last week we reached out on our social media accounts to anyone who may have been involved in the events that happened when 38 airliners carrying 7,000 passengers, were instructed to urgently divert and land at Gander Airport in Newfoundland.

Then Michael got in touch and 5 days later walked through the door into our rehearsal to give us his own first-hand account of the events.



24 years ago Michael was a student in Gander Collegiate, where he helped his teachers host a Lufthansa flight, serving food, unloading cots, and mopping bathroom floors.

It was fascinating to hear Michael's story and invaluable for our cast to hear his own personal story of the events over the days that followed.
