Last week YAOS presented Emma, Roald Dahl Specialist Nurse, with a cheque for £2500 which was raised earlier this year from the bucket collection during our production of “Anything Goes”.

The vision of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity is that every seriously ill child living with complex, lifelong conditions has a Roald Dahl Specialist Nurse to help them to lead a more marvellous life. Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses are a vital lifeline to the children and their families, supporting them clinically and emotionally. They co-ordinate care and are often there for them until adulthood.

Yeovil Hospital is fortunate to have one of the current 82 specialist nurses established by the charity.  Emma supports over 150 families in our area including a member of our committee. This amazing amount of money will go directly to further her training and help her support more families in need.
