YAOS gives £2,000 to support other charities

Following the huge success of our last show 'Sister Act', YAOS has made donations totalling £2,000 to three charities.  On Monday, during a break in rehearsals for the next YAOS production 'Jekyll & Hyde', cheques were presented in person to two charities, Yeovil Opportunity Group and Yeovil Heartbeat.

Yeovil Opportunity Group

Fran McKay and Steph Talbot MBE of Yeovil Heartbeat, receiving a cheque for £500 from YAOS members Simon Ball and Derek Bourne. Yeovil Heartbeat supports an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation unit at Yeovil District Hospital.

YAOS also donated £500 to another charity The Wulugu Project, which provides support for education projects in northern Ghana, aimed mainly at helping girls and young women. For further information about The Wulugu Project, please visit their website www.wulugu.co.uk
